Fourteen Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) collaborate in this Consortium for Minority-serving Institutions and Community Colleges (CMCC)
We are seeking to support institutions and individuals (faculty, administrators, students) across the country who aim to increase expertise in international business education or develop capabilities that will expand and strengthen international business education.

Professional Development
Examples of Allowable Expenses:
Conference/program registration, travel expenses to/from said program (airfare, ground transportation, lodging, baggage fees, cost associated with passports, port of entry visa fees, visas, international departure taxes, other*)
Travel will be considered but will be based on the guidelines of travel taken from your prospective university and according to the rules dictated by the grant fund.
Examples of unallowable expenses:
Ground transportation for personal use, meals, tips, porterage and other incidentals during conference/program.

Scholarly Research
Examples Of Allowable Expenses:
Purchase of database/software, materials/supplies (not to include computers or other equipment), conference registration, travel expenses for research, RA support, faculty time, other*

Student Development
Examples Of Allowable Expenses:
Conference/program registration, travel expenses to/from said program (airfare, ground transportation, lodging, baggage fees, costs associated with passports, port of entry visa fees, visas, international departure taxes, stipends for unpaid internships that are international in scope (domestic or international), other*.
Examples Of Unallowable Expenses:
Ground transportation for personal use, meals, tips, porterage, and other incidentals during conference/program; internship stipends not provided for paid internships (verify with letter from employer)

Curriculum Development
Examples Of Allowable Expenses:
TA or RA support, purchase of cases, faculty time, purchase of database, software, platforms, simulation, eportfolio, other*

Program Development
Examples Of Allowable Expenses:
Seed money to develop a MSI/CC program that seeks to increase international business education at their institution. This could include student program, research development, administrative support, or curriculum development.
Expenses may include faculty time, student scholarships, purchase of data/software/materials/supplies, TA or RA support, purchase of cases
Examples Of Unallowable Expenses:
Ground transportation for personal use, meals, tips, porterage, and other incidentals during program. Food/refreshments during program.

The CMCC is seeking to support institutions and individuals (faculty, administrators, students) at MSIs or Community Colleges across the country who aim to increase expertise in international business education or develop capabilities that will expand and strengthen international business education.
Awards Available from $500 to $10,000
